Mark Alexander is an international, award-winning professional photographer and established journalist. Based at the Home of Golf, he travels the world capturing the beauty and drama of some of golf’s most iconic courses.

In 2013, he became the first commissioned photographer to shoot Prestwick Golf Club in its 162-year history. In 2014, he undertook an extensive photography project in New Zealand and in 2015 he was commissioned by hotel giant Marriott to photograph its UK golf properties. He has also photographed The Kings and Queens Courses at Gleneagles, The Dukes Course in St Andrews and Golf Du Medoc in Bordeaux, as well as Loch Lomond Golf Club, Carnoustie Golf Links and Dumbarnie Links. He is a consultant partner for the European Institute of Golf Course Architects.

Mark’s work appears in various magazines including Links Magazine, The Cut, Golf World, Today’s Golfer, Golf Illustrated and Golf Digest, not to mention on various social media platforms and corporate websites. His images are often used by national tourism agencies to promote golf destinations.

He is also an accomplished portrait and reportage photographer and proficient filmmaker, where his compositional skills and use of natural light come to the fore.
