Chateaux – 5th hole

It had taken a lot of organisation to travel to Bordeaux to photograph the two courses at Golf du Medoc. Lockdowns, travel documents and Coronavirus testing had made the shoot particularly challenging. When I arrived, I felt so relieved and set about familiarizing myself with the layouts. The fifth is a short par three with water surrounding half of the green. As the sun began to set, the colours in the sky exploded and when I arrived at the back of the green, it was obvious I needed to capture the reflections. When I took the shot and looked at the back of the camera, I knew the trip had been worth it!
